Villa Josephine, Tangier

Villa Joséphine Tangier

Originally built by Walter Burton Harris, the famous Times Journalist, Villa Josephine was also home of the Duke of Tovar, patron of Tangier as well as Spanish grandee and the summer residence of Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech. It is located at Sidi Mesmoudi en route to la Vieille Montagne just 10 minutes drive from the Grand Socco and the Kasbah.

This very exclusive 19th century villa offers 10 guest rooms and suites, most of them with superbe views across the strait of Gibraltar and a nice swimming pool surrounded by a tropical garden. The restaurant serves very good french cuisine and there are many little corners to relax or enjoy a nice conversation or book.
